Ananda Saturday Service brings blessings that will uplift you for days.
Our services are inspired by the ancient yogic teachings of India as shared by Paramhansa Yogananda and his close disciple, Swami Kriyananda, Ananda’s founder. Services include joyous devotional singing (chanting), readings from the Bhagavad Gita and the gospels, prayers, an inspirational talk drawn from the teachings of Yogananda, with special music. We conclude with a blessing ceremony called the Festival of Light, sending out our hearts and prayers to the world.
We generally gather at 2:45pm on Saturday afternoon (see calendar for updates) and Service begins at 3pm.
A vegetarian meal and happy fellowship follows.
May Thy love shine forever on the sanctuary of my devotion, and may I be able to awaken Thy love in all hearts. –Paramhansa Yogananda
